VTK User Training
This course introduces the main concepts of the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) from the 2D/3D visualization to the more complex post-processing pipelines and interactive widgets.
The examples are based on use cases from several scientific domains.
The training mixes theory and application with a set of tutorials and exercises.

C++ or Python: basic knowledge

This training course will be taught in English. Course notes are also in English.
Participants are asked to bring a laptop computer for this training session.
The instructor will communicate all the specifications required to each participants before the training session.

Meet the instructor
Paul Lafoix joined Kitware Europe in Octobre 2020 after a six-month internship in the Scientific Visualization team, during which he worked on the unification of OpenGL and Raytracing engines in VTK and on the improvement of modern rendering techniques.
Paul holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Université Claude Bernard (Lyon) where he specialized in image processing and 3D development.
He currently works on different VTK and ParaView based projects.
